Of all of the devastating effects of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRAIRA), the concept of unlawful presence is perhaps one of the harshest. Given the role of unlawful presence in determining admissibility, immigration practitioners must understand its implications and be familiar with the associated waivers. This session will also provide expert strategies to employ in submitting these applications at U.S. consulates.
